Week 1...

So that time has come…the first weekly update

I think I may have made a little bit of a mistake in regards to the week that I chose to start this whole fitness thing. I thought it would be a good time as I wash't drinking but I didn't take into consideration birthdays and meals out etc. The best way to probably explain is to take you guys through day by day but firstly, long story short, the week entailed a trip up to Hull for a client meeting and two birthdays. So, the week really didn't come without its obstacles!

Monday
My trip to Hull
This day was virtually impossible to have any control over what I ate due to being in meetings all day and it would have looked really weird if I just didn't eat any of the meals I was given.

For this reason, I chose to start properly on Tuesday!

Tuesday went well! I ate well, walked on my lunch and went to Body Attack class in the evening.

Wednesday
I decided to get up that little bit earlier and take my dog for a walk

I walked on my lunch and then after work went for another really long walk with my mum and dog.

Thursday
I got up early and did about 15 minutes of HIIT before getting ready for work. This doesn't seem like long but it gets your blood pumping and gets you set for the day ahead. HIIT, as most people know, also allows your body to burn calories for hours after your workout so it's better to do it in the morning.

I ate really well as usual with salad for lunch etc but had a couple caramel shortbread things that were in the office…they really are irresistible.
I walked on my lunch again and then went to a CXWORX class after work and ran 5K

Friday
This was a tricky one, I wanted to get up early and take my dog out but the weather was soooo bad, I thought not.

I couldn't even go for a walk really on my lunch because of the rain so I ended up pacing up and down Sainsburys, I bought some healthy snacks and Women's Health Magazine ha!

Friday night I went out for my dad's birthday, I chose salmon and new potatoes for my dinner (this was amazing!) and then had sticky toffee pudding for desert tehe.

Saturday
Up early at 9am for Park Run in Woking. 5K done to burn off that Sticky Toffee Pudding!

I also walked my dog in the afternoon for about an hour to feel a bit more active.

I didn't eat much during the day apart from a protein shake and some almond butter on toast but then went to Wagamamas in the evening!

Sunday
I went to Yoga in the morning, was so nice to have a stretch and relax my muscles after the week.
After, I made myself Weetabix with honey, milk and a banana.

I then went to my cousins birthday in the afternoon which consisted of a Tea Party and it was lovely!

I had a cupcake, some sandwiches and a brownie. It went onto about 6pm and I was so full up I couldn't stomach dinner.

Overall….
I do feel a lot better then I did a few weeks ago, just being more active I feel more alert and less lethargic when sitting at my desk.

And as a result in the last 10 days I've already lost 4lbs!!

I'm so happy but got a fair bit to go.

I really think that not drinking has made a huge impact also, I haven't been out since my birthday which was over 3 weeks ago and I'm normally out at least once every weekend!

The next few weeks I am out at the weekends but will be focused on not letting my diet slip and keeping active regardless of how hungover I may be!

In this picture, you'll also see that I have purchased a new protein powder, it was on offer (link below) and I thought why not…it specialises in diet and weight loss and I also just had to get the cute pink protein shaker! Go and check them out for up to 70% off on certain items.
